Week 14 - 15 - Getting Ready for the Exhibition

Man. Working on a project as ambitious as this one at the same time as having two part-time jobs has been very demanding but it's also been so much fun! I'm surprised to have been able to achieve as much as I have so far.
On Monday this week I managed to gather my two go-to musically talented friends Jake and Alex and recorded "Happy One Outz" at SIT Sound! The song to which the Headphones & Skateboard Opening will be animated to. I must credit my other musically talented friend Rob for helping me with audio editing in post and Sam for filling me in about using different microphones than I'm used to.

Here's a couple of pictures of Jake's drum kit, guitar amplifier and my guitar stuffed in his car

Here's the D-Command at SIT Sound, the only studio I have access to as an animator.

The D-Command is supposed to be used to record ADR (Automated Dialog Replacement) or Foley for film and animation but we used it to record music.
We recorded the rhythm guitar and the drums first using three different microphones (notice the mic stands) and then we recorded the lead guitar and bass lines afterwards.

Here's the song!
P.s. I had to make it into a video to put it in this blog so I used my animatic.

Week 12 - 13 - Post-Critique Work

Some shots seem to be taking longer to produce than expected.
Also, my recordings' sizes are a bit larger than normal so I have uploaded two separate videos.
